Volunteering at Cable 2015
Volunteers will play a vital role in the smooth delivery and success of Cable 2015.
As a volunteer you will be given the incredible experience of being involved in a major international athletic event and get to experience the event from a whole new perspective. Depending on your role, most volunteers will be provided training prior to the Championships so previous experience is not required. Training sessions will likely take place in Cable during December and January. Some positions will have mandatory training so bear this in mind when applying.
The volunteer program will afford you a fantastic, once in a lifetime opportunity to mix with elite sports stars and Paralympians.
We have a number of roles that could be right for you.
Volunteer roles are allocated on the previous experience and skill that you tell us about in the application process, and also on a first-come first-serve basis. (All positions are subject to availability).
Once you are allocated a position, this will likely be your role until the end of the Championships. The generic qualities expected from a Cable 2015 volunteer include taking the initiative, being an excellent team player, enthusiastic, friendly, polite reliable and sociable.
