The hosts record a 2-1 win over top seeds for their first A-Pool Worlds title in seven years while Czechia slip past China for second consecutive bronze medal, at WinSport Arena in Calgary

Italy defeat Japan to finish in seventh place at this year's World Championships A-Pool in Canada

The Americans, who are the defending champions, beat Czechia 3-1 while the hosts overcome China 2-1 to book their seventh consecutive gold-medal game at the A-Pool Worlds while the losing semi-finalists will play the bronze medal game

The Slovakians overcome Italy while the Koreans beat Japan in the qualifying round and will play the fifth-place game in the A-Pool Worlds. The losing sides were relegated to B-Pool.

The USA, who remain undefeated to top Group A, will face Group B runner-up Czechia, while Canada, who stay undefeated to top Group B, will take on Group A runner-up China in the semi-finals at WinSport Arena.
