Ben Tudhope voted Allianz Athlete of the Month

Australia’s Ben Tudhope rounds off the 2019 Allianz Athlete of the Month after being voted the top performer for December.
The 20-year-old snowboarder won a pair of gold medals in the snowboard-cross races at the World Cup in Pyha, Finland. He dedicated his wins to his coach Mikko Wendelin, who passed away just a week before.
Tudhope received 43 per cent of the public votes. Chinese goalballer Mingyuan Yang (28 per cent) finished ahead of Japanese goalballer Haruka Wakasugi (26 per cent). Norwegian cross-country skier Vilde Nilsen and Moroccan blind football player Zouhair Snisla were also nominated.
