After winning two gold medals and three silvers at 2011 World Archery Para Championships in Turin, Italy, last week, Great Britain’s archers will next travel to the Stoke Mandeville Open in September.
In Turin, Danielle Brown won the women’s compound individual gold and John Stubbs, Richard Hennahane and Eric Thomas defeated Korea in the men’s team compound gold-medal match by just three points.
Stubbs settled for the silver in the men’s individual compound final and picked up another second-place finish in the mixed team event, in which he was paired with Brown.
Pippa Britton, Sarah Beamish and Brown also garnered a silver medal in the women’s compound team final.
The Stoke Mandeville Open will take place from 5-9 September and is a Para-Archery world ranking and Paralympic qualifying event. It will be the last opportunity for most individuals to increase their marks prior to selections for the Games.
