Canadian Paralympic Committee calls for Hall of Fame nominations

The honour is given across three categories – athlete, coach and builder – and the nomination period will remain open through 15 March.
The Canadian Paralympic Committee announced a call for nominations to the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame on Monday (4 February).
The honour is given across three categories – athlete, coach and builder – and the nomination period will remain open through 15 March.
Initiated in 2000, the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame recognises and celebrates those who have made a significant contribution to the growth and development of the Paralympic Movement in Canada.
Inductees will be invited to attend the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on 10 May in Toronto.
Nominated athletes will be judged based on their Paralympic Games performance, awards received and overall contributions to the Paralympic Movement. Nominated coaches will be evaluated by their influence on a Paralympic athlete or team’s success, as well as technical innovations and contributions to the development of a sport or coaching community. Nominated builders will be those who have made a distinguished contribution to the development of Paralympic sport in Canada.
