IPC sends condolences following passing of NPC Suriname President Franklin Cameron

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) sends its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Franklin Cameron, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Suriname who recently passed away.

Cameron played a pivotal role in growing the Paralympic Movement in Suriname. He helped establish the National Paralympic Committee in 2003 and has been the President of the organisation since it became an IPC member in 2004.

NPC Suriname made its Paralympic debut at Athens 2004, sending two athletes to the Paralympic Games. Since then, the country has sent one athlete to the Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
