Documentary series WHO I AM Paralympics nominated for International Emmy Award

Paralympic documentary series “WHO I AM Paralympics” has been nominated for an International Emmy Award. The winners will be announced in New York on 25 November.
Launched in 2016 as a joint project between the Japanese broadcaster WOWOW Inc. and the International Paralympic Committee, the WHO I AM documentary series feature some of the world’s greatest Para athletes.
WHO I AM Paralympics, which was broadcast and streamed in January 2023, was nominated in the Sports Documentary category. German Para swimmer Elena Krawzow, Norwegian Paralympic sprinter Salum Ageze Kashafali and Japanese wheelchair basketball player Renshi Chokai appear in the three-part series.

Documentary series “WHO I AM LIFE,” which features a diverse lineup of artists, was also nominated in the Arts Programming category.
The International Emmy Awards, hosted by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, are presented to outstanding television programmes produced and aired outside of the United States.
The WHO I AM series has told the stories of many Para athletes from around the world. In 2018, its second season was nominated in the Documentary category at the 46th International Emmy Awards.
WOWOW recently announced that the third season will start in December.
