Goyang 2013: USA preview
What you need to know about the USA prior to the 2013 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships A-Pool. 09 Apr 2013
Together, forward Alexi Salamone and defender Taylor Chace have become the faces of the USA's ice sledge hockey programme.
The USA have finished first at the last two World Championship A-Pool events.
Outlook
The USA are the defending Paralympic and world champions in ice sledge hockey, and they have not lost any key components from last year’s world-title team.
With veterans Taylor Chace and Alexi Salamone, and Steve Cash as one of the world’s best goaltenders, the USA are heading into the tournament as the team to beat.
The squad also boasts several military veterans looking to get to the Paralympics for the first time, but look for all of the Americans’ opponents to step up their game as they try to knock the reigning champions off their throne.
