Cathrine Rosengren’s debut as a Para badminton player at the European Championships in Beek, the Netherlands, in 2016, could not have been better. The Dane claimed gold in singles in the SU5 category following a victory over teammate Astrid Lilhav Riis in the final.

She went on to win silver in doubles, rounding off a dream week. Rosengren started 2017 as the world No.4 in singles and will be looking to climb up the rankings when she competes at the 11th BWF Para Badminton World Championships in Ulsan, South Korea.

The teenager is one of the most promising young players and much is expected from her, especially in three years-time when Para badminton will make its Paralympic debut at Tokyo 2020.
