With the countdown to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games well and truly in the final stages, our Sport Weeks provide you with the perfect guide to each of the competitions being contested in France. To round off this week, here are the Para triathletes to look out for when the Paris 2024 Paralympics open on 28 August.

Brenda Osnaya (Mexico)

The three-time world champion and multi-Americas medallist is aiming to better her Tokyo 2020 5th place PWTC finish at Paris 2024.

Anu Francis (Australia)

A breakout star since her senior PTS2 debut in 2022, the Australian has nine podium finishes from her 12 competitions so far, including world silver and bronze.

Kirsty Weir (South Africa)

The reigning African champion heads to her first Paralympics with double continental gold.

Emma Meyers (USA)

The 2022 U.S. PTS4 champion is ranked fourth in the world and narrowly missed the 2023 Worlds podium, finishing fifth. She’ll make her Paralympic debut in Paris.

Francesca Tarantella (Italy)

The 2023 world champion is second in the world in the PTVI division with 13 wins from 15 races. She is aiming to replicate her gold medal-winning Worlds success on her Paralympic debut.

Florian Brungraber (Austria)

The Austrian national champion and two-time Worlds medallist is the reigning Paralympic silver medallist in the men’s PTWC.

Daniel Molina (Spain)

The five-time world champion will make his long-awaited Paralympic triathlon PTS3 debut in Paris after previously competing as a swimmer at Athens 2004.

Hideki Uda (Japan)

The Asian champion won PTS4 silver on home soil in his Paralympic debut at Tokyo 2020, adding Worlds silver later the same year.

The 2022 Americas champion is closing in on the Paralympic podium after finishing fifth in the PTS5 division on his Games debut at Tokyo 2020.

The double world silver medallist is aiming to celebrate a home Paralympic podium at Paris 2024 after finishing fourth in the PTVI competition in Tokyo.
