The medals of the Barcelona 1992 Paralympic Games showcase the logo of the Games, keeping a true minimalist design. 

Design Elements of the Medals 

The name of the Games, “Paralimpics Barcelona ‘92”, is engraved in Spanish and in braille. The medals’ ribbon came in red, green, black, yellow and blue, the five colours of the Tae-Geuks,  the International Paralympic Committee logosymbol representing the Paralympic Movement between 1988-1994. 

The official logo of the Games is engraved on the reverse side of the medal. 

The Physical Attributes of the Toronto 1976 Medals  

The medals had a diameter of 7 centimetres and a thickness of 0.7 centimetres, with the gold medal weighing 251 grams.
