France Télévisions has announced its most comprehensive broadcast and digital coverage of a Paralympic Games in history for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games which open on 28 August.

Through a mixture of 300 hours of live coverage and on-demand coverage, France Télévisions will provide continuous 24 hours a day coverage of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, ensuring the French public do not miss a moment of the event.

Viewers in France will be able to watch daily coverage on France 2 and France 3, while all events will be broadcast live and on-demand 24 hours a day on the dedicated digital platform france.tv. This will allow viewers to follow their favourite sports and athletes at any time. A live chat “Fan Zone” will be made available allowing those watching to comment in real time and ask questions of the presenters.  All the news from the Games will also be found at franceinfo.

Delphine Ernotte Cunci, President and CEO of France Télévisions, said: “True to our commitment to inclusion, we fought to also be the broadcaster of the Paralympic Games in order to offer the more than 4,000 Para athletes present in Paris the same level of visibility on our channels. By its unprecedented scale, the system that we will propose during this second half of Paris 2024 takes a historic step in the promotion of Para sports and will send a strong signal to society as a whole.”

On 28 August, the spectacular Opening Ceremony from Place de la Concorde will be broadcast live in full on France 2, while the Closing Ceremony from Stade de Fance on 8 September will also be shown live on France 2.

Each evening of the Games from 11.00pm will be a talk show Quelle Jeux! which will be presented by Léa Salamé and Laurent Luyat. The show will highlight the best moments from the day, as well as interviews with medal winning athletes and celebrities.

Spearheading France Télévisions coverage will be leading sport presenters Cécile Grès, Mattieu Lartot, Laurent Luyat and Claire Vocquier-Ficot.

Several Paralympians, including wheelchair fencer Cyril Moré, Para swimmers Sami El Gueddari and Charles Rozy, and Shooting Para sport athlete Raphaël Voltz will also form part of the coverage.

To build excitement ahead of the Paralympic Games, from 12-28 August France Televisions will replay previous editions of the Games, covering Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.

From 25 August, there will be live coverage of the Paralympic Torch Relay, while there will also be themed evenings and documentaries.
The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are set to feature 4,400 Para athletes from around 170 countries who will compete in 549 medal events across 22 sports.
