World Para Swimming has today (21 April) announced the new dates for the Singapore 2025 World Championships. The next World Para Swimming Championships will take place from 21 to 27 September 2025 at the OCBC Aquatic Centre within the Singapore Sports Hub.

The Championships were initially set to be held from 3 to 9 October 2025 but have been brought forward by two weeks by World Para Swimming and the Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) for operational reasons.

Singapore 2025 will mark the first time the World Championships take place in Asia and will be aligned with Singapore’s 60th birthday celebration. It will also be the first edition of the World Para Swimming Championships to be held in the same host nation and year as the World Aquatics Championships.

Singapore has successfully hosted international Para swimming events in recent years, particularly the Citi Para Swimming World Series. The latest edition was held in May at the OCBC Aquatic Centre with over 120 Para swimmers from 21 nations.

The biennial World Para Swimming Championships, most recently hosted in 2023 in Manchester, Great Britain, are anticipated to draw approximately 600 elite Para athletes from over 60 nations.
