Under the agreement, Hyundai & Kia Motors will provide 4,100 automobiles together with a monetary sponsorship for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games operations. The fleet of automobiles will be used for VIP protocol, athletes’ transportation and event operations.

POCOG president Yang-ho Cho said: “We deeply appreciate Hyundai & Kia Motors’ decision to join the sponsorship program. We are confident that this sponsorship agreement will encourage other Korean companies to join as sponsors and continued support from the Korean business community will help us deliver the successful Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.”

Hyundai & Kia Motors is actively involved in global sports marketing, mainly focusing on the FIFA World Cup, as well as supporting international events that have been held in Korea such as Yeosu EXPO 2012, 2014 Incheon Asian Games, and Gwangju Universiade 2015.
