With the large success Great Britain’s athletics team had at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, UK Athletics is now conducting a talent search for new up-and-coming athletes in Paralympic sport.

Looking for brand new talent, UK Athletics is partnering with Aviva to invite athletes with an impairment to come try out different track and field events at one of their nine Talent Introduction Days across the country.

This allows people to experience the world of competitive athletics and for athletes to have the chance to work with coaches to further develop their skills and potentially a future career in sport.

At the London 2012 Games, Great Britain fielded a very young team that finished third on the athletics medals table with 11 gold and 29 overall medals.

The pool of young talent on display at the Olympic Stadium included 19-year-old Jonnie Peacock, who won the 100m T44 sprint, and 20-year-old Hannah Cockroft, who picked up golds in the 100m and 200m T34 events.
