World Para Athletics reveals four host cities for 2025 Grand Prix

World Para Athletics (WPA) have announced Dubai, Cali, Tunis and Olomouc as the first confirmed Grand Prix of the 2025 season.  

The United Arab Emirates will once again host the opening event of the Grand Prix calendar from 10 to 13 February at the Dubai Club for People of Determination. The traditional venue held the Para Athletics World Championships in 2019. 

Next year’s Grand Prix will head to Colombia for the first time in May with the Cali GP taking place from 16 to 19 May. 

The new season will see the WPA Grand Prix travelling across four continents as the event returns to the Tunisian capital Tunis from 16 to 18 June. 

The Czech city of Olomouc will host the first-ever all-women Grand Prix from 3 to 5 July. 

“World Para Athletics is committed to providing elite sporting opportunities for women and will be hosting the first-ever women-only Grand Prix in Olomouc, Czechia,” Paul Fitzgerald, Head of World Para Athletics, said. “The all-women Grand Prix will showcase the remarkable speed, strength and skill of Para athletics athletes while also providing a platform tailored to inspire and encourage investment in girls and women in Para athletics.” 

World Para Athletics will soon announce additional stops of the 2025 Grand Prix.  

The confirmed host cities and dates are as follows: 

Dubai, UAE – 6 to 13 February 2025 

Cali, Colombia – 12 to 19 May 2025 

Tunis, Tunisia – 12 to 19 June 2025 

Olomouc, Czechia – 3 to 5 July 2025 (All-Women Grand Prix)
