The third annual corporate sustainability report by the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) was recently released, detailing the organization’s performance measured in its sustainability commitments between 1 August 2007 and 31 July 2008.

Paralympic Winter Games Stamps Available in Canada
Canada Post, an Official Supplier for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, recently unveiled their starting Olympic and Paralympic stamp line-up. The ten stamps are part of a three-year programme that, upon its completion, will be among Canada’s most significant philatelic milestones. In 2010, Canada Post plans to issue additional stamp designs honouring the Games.

FIMS and the IPC Sign Agreement
The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS) have officially signed and put in effect an agreement that will aim to improve mutual knowledge on the health, safety, research and performance of athletes with a disability.

Cultural Programme Around Alpine Skiing World Cup in La Molina
For the occasion of the IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup in La Molina, Spain, a cultural programme was launched by the city of La Molina in co-operation with the Catalan Federation of Sport for the Physical Disabled and La Caixa as well as with the help of the City Hall of Puigcerda. The cultural programme started with a Paralympic School Day on 4 December 2008 and now continued with a cycle of lectures held on 3 January 2009 in La Molina.

British Paralympians Recognized in New Year's Honours List
A total of 18 Paralympians as well as coaches and officials were named in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List in recognition of their contribution to British sport.
