Design Elements of the Medals
The Games’ emblem and the name of the event, “The 1998 Winter Paralympic Games Nagano” are engraved on the medal. The three Tae-Geuks, the symbol of the Paralympic Movement used from 1994 to 2004, is placed right below the text.
Physical Attributes of the Nagano 1998 Medals
The medals came with a multi-coloured ribbon, in a blue velvet case. The ribbon is in the colours of the Nagano 1998 Games: blue, red and green. The medals have a diameter of 6 centimetres and a thickness of 0.6 centimetre, with the gold medal weighing 150 grams.
